According to reports, Chelsea is considering a summer transfer for hot-shot Benfica attacker Goncalo Ramos.
According to those familiar with the situation at the Blues, the 21-year-old is seen as a potential replacement for Victor Osimhen, with Napoli willing to demand roughly £105 million for his services.
Ramos has a £105 million release clause in his contract with the Portuguese powerhouse Benfica, but it’s thought that they will accept a proposal of approximately £70 million for him.
After a fantastic 2022–23 season in which he registered 25 goals and 10 assists in 37 games, Ramos’ price has soared.
The agency that represents Chelsea’s on-loan star Joao Felix, Gestifute, also represents the striker.
After scoring a hat-trick in Portugal’s Round of 16 matches against Switzerland at the World Cup in Qatar the previous year (2022), Ramos also made his mark in the international arena.
The 6ft 1in star is a great forward, which is something that Chelsea’s team sorely lacks.
Their weakness was shown during the 0-0 draw with Liverpool on Tuesday (4 April), when Kai Havertz and Joao Felix missed many golden opportunities to score.
