Liverpool and Alexis Mac Allister have reached a personal agreement regarding a potential move to Merseyside this summer.
The 24-year-old has long been considered a top target for Liverpool, who have been keeping an eye on him and his situation, and the Reds have moved swiftly to fight off interest from competing bidders and reach a deal for him first.
The personal conditions of a long-term contract have finally been agreed upon for Mac Allister, who won the World Cup with Argentina in December, while Liverpool was optimistic about securing a deal for Mac Allister.
Brighton and Liverpool are still working out the transfer cost that the Reds will need to pay for Mac Allister, but the Seagulls have always insisted that they won’t stop Mac Allister from leaving if Liverpool is willing to pay their asking price.
Before becoming Jurgen Klopp’s first acquisition of the summer, Mac Allister will undergo the necessary medical checks at Liverpool’s training ground.
