Luis Suarez will reportedly join his former teammates Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets at Inter Miami, according to sources who spoke to 90Min.
Uruguayan Suarez was good friends with Messi at Camp Nou and is now also set to join the MLS team.
Both Messi and Busquets join Inter on free transfers after leaving their individual clubs at the end of the 2022–23 European season. Messi left Paris Saint-Germain after reaching the end of his contract, while Busquets also left Barcelona at the same time.
For the first time since leaving Camp Nou for Atletico Madrid in 2020, Suarez will rejoin Messi and Busquets when he arrives in South Florida.
After playing for Nacional in his native Uruguay, Suarez joined Gremio in Brazil last year. Although the 36-year-old has a contract with Gremio through 2024, he has a release clause that he and Miami have worked out, and it’s expected that the completed transfer will be announced soon.
The dynamic trio played together for six incredibly successful years in Catalonia, and it’s thought that Messi helped attract both of his former teammates to the club.
