Roy Hodgson has decided to continue leading Crystal Palace in the next campaign.
The 75-year-old is now on vacation, but when he gets back, he’ll sign a new contract as Palace’s manager for the upcoming season.
With 18 points from his 10 games in charge, he helped Palace avoid the relegation zone and finished 11th in the Premier League. After spending four years at Palace since 2017, Hodgson initially decided to retire from football in the summer of 2021.
In March, Hodgson replaced Patrick Vieira at Selhurst Park on a contract that would last through the end of the current campaign. Before Hodgson’s return to his childhood club, Palace had gone 12 games in all competitions without a victory under Vieira.
In addition to leading the national teams of Switzerland, the United Arab Emirates, and Finland, his more than 45-year management career has included stops at Inter Milan, Blackburn, Fulham, Liverpool, West Brom, and Palace.
