The £20 million transfer of USA striker Christian Pulisic from Chelsea to AC Milan is almost complete.
24-year-old Pulisic has been deemed as no longer needed at Stamford Bridge and will undergo a physical check-up this week in Milan. His £57.6 million transfer from Borussia Dortmund to Chelsea in 2019 saw him become the most expensive player from North America.
In 145 appearances for the London team, Pulisic scored 26 goals and took part in the 2021 Champions League victory over Manchester City. His move to Serie A will see him join Ruben Loftus-Cheek, a former Chelsea teammate who now plays for Milan after transferring to Italy this summer.
This summer, Chelsea parted ways with several key first-team players. Another recent Chelsea departure is 20-year-old David Datro Fofana, who has joined Union Berlin of the Bundesliga on a season-long loan. Following his transfer to Chelsea in January, the Ivorian only made four first-team appearances for the Blues.
Kai Havertz moved to Arsenal, Mateo Kovacic joined Manchester City, and Mason Mount swapped Stamford Bridge for Old Trafford.
