Khephren Thuram, a midfielder for OGC Nice, has accepted a personal contract with Liverpool.
According to several sources, the Frenchman and the Premier League club have reached an agreement in principle on the possible transfer of the player who has been on Liverpool’s radar since January.
Reports state that the two teams are now in negotiations about the transfer cost. Nice is believed to be seeking the best possible deal since they are aware that the 22-year-old has other prospective suitors, including Newcastle.
Jurgen Klopp has been a fan of Thuram since the beginning of the year following his numerous outstanding performances on the pitch. Although the team originally decided that they’d not be moving forward with the transfer during the winter window, they’ve now decided it’s time to act on what may have been a mistake that they chose not to.
