Kim Little, the captain of the Arsenal women’s team, has extended her contract with the Women’s Super League team by signing a new contract.

In her two terms with the Gunners, the midfielder has appeared in more than 290 games and scored 164 goals. The 32-year-old, who will be out for the remainder of the season due to a hamstring injury she sustained in March, expressed her happiness at signing a new deal with Arsenal.

“I’m extremely happy about the things that we have accomplished together, thinking back to when I first joined at the age of 17. Arsenal has been such a big part of my life, and over time, this club has become my home,” she continued.  “It is still an honour for me to represent Arsenal, and I am still really motivated to advance this team and contribute to its success.”

Since joining Arsenal for the first time in 2008, former Scotland international Little has won five top-flight league championships, three FA Cups, and five League Cups.

In the 2023 New Year Honours list, she was given an MBE for her contributions to football. Kim is a player of the highest calibre and an outstanding professional, according to head coach Jonas Eidevall.

“We are thrilled that she will continue to represent Arsenal for many years to come because of her outstanding contributions throughout her many years at our club. We are all thrilled with this news since Kim is such a crucial part of what we are attempting to do here at Arsenal Football Club, both on and off the field.”

The Arsenal women’s team is currently three points behind league leader Manchester United in third place in the WSL.
