Dominik Szoboszlai has officially transferred to Liverpool from RB Leipzig.
Liverpool decided to put Szoboszlai’s £60 million release clause on the table on Friday after previously signalling they were hesitant to do so. He later travelled to Merseyside for his physical check-up.
Szoboszlai has now officially moved to Anfield, according to Liverpool.
The Reds acted quickly to sign Szoboszlai, a player for Hungary. Last Friday, 5Times reported that both clubs had been in talks and that the Hungarian player was interested in moving to Anfield.
After bringing in Alexis MacAllister earlier in the summer transfer season, the Reds have now managed to secure a second midfielder.
Regarding his transfer to Liverpool, Szoboszlai remarked, “It’s amazing. The past few days have been great, and I am eager to get to know everyone better. The past three or four days have been quite long; they have not been simple. But in the end, I’m here, I’m happy and I’m eager to begin.”
“Liverpool is a wonderful historic club, with great players, a great coach, it’s all good. Making the next move at such a club was ideal for me. Everything about the stadium and the fans is excellent.”
