Manchester City has submitted what is going to be their last and final offer of £90 million to West Ham for their captain Declan Rice.
Arsenal, though, is anticipated to make a third offer for the 24-year-old England midfielder as his contract talks heat up. The Gunners’ original offer of £75 million in four instalments, with a further £15 million in add-ons, was turned down by West Ham last week.
Although the City bid is thought to include an initial payment of £80 million, the Hammers are seeking a sum of £100 million. Rice negotiations are nearing their end, and a deal with either City or Arsenal is most likely to happen.
Despite having signed Mateo Kovacic from Chelsea for £25 million, City boss Pep Guardiola is eager to expand his midfield options in light of the departure of Ilkay Gundogan to Barcelona, with Rice being the top target.
