Nottingham Forest have expressed their desire to sign goalkeeper Dean Henderson permanently.
26-year-old Henderson was on loan to the City Ground during the last campaign and made 20 appearances before sustaining a serious thigh injury this January which kept him out of the pitch.
After avoiding relegation in the final weeks of the Premier League season, Forest wants to make Henderson’s loan permanent and is expected to approach Manchester United to negotiate with them in the next few days.
Henderson has the option to extend his contract at Old Trafford by an additional year until the summer of 2025 when his contract expires. However, given the circumstances, 5Times believes it’s more than likely that Nottingham Forest will succeed in making him a permanent member of their squad for the upcoming campaign.
