Due to an injury, Harry Maguire will not travel with Manchester United to visit Bayern Munich for the Champions League game.
The centre-back, who did not play in Saturday’s 3-1 loss to Brighton and Hove Albion at home, was not included in the squad announced by the team on Tuesday. It is unknown exactly what the nature of the injury is, and it is uncertain whether Maguire will be able to play at Burnley on Saturday night.
Before travelling to Germany, Maguire did train with United on Tuesday. Summer signings Altay Bayindir, Rasmus Hojlund, Andre Onana, and Sergio Reguilon are all part of United’s 21-man squad for the journey to Bavaria. Young guns Dan Gore, Omari Forson, and Hannibal Mejbri, who scored during the defeat over Brighton are also all on the roster.
The team arrived at Manchester Airport on Tuesday afternoon for the match, and Erik ten Hag presided over United’s first-ever Champions League match in the location where he previously served as a coach.
