  • Chelsea has made a £48 million bid to Southampton for 19-year-old Belgian midfielder Romeo Lavia, inc. add-ons. 
  • By making a 30 million euro (£25.8 million) offer for the Bayern Munich defender, Manchester United is trying to bring Benjamin Pavard, 27, and former France teammate and Red Devils centre-guard Raphael Varane, 30, back together. 
  • Sofyan Amrabat, a 26-year-old Moroccan player for Fiorentina, is also wanted by Manchester United and is available for £30 million. Amrabat prefers to sign with Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid this summer, though. 
  • Officials from Paris St. Germain and Brazilian star Neymar’s representatives will meet this week to discuss the 31-year-old’s future, which may include terminating his contract. 
  • Ecuadorian midfielder Moises Caicedo, 21, is on the verge of joining Chelsea from Brighton, as the club is eager to complete the transfer before Caicedo faces Liverpool on Sunday. 
  • Bayern Munich is on the hunt for a successor for injured 37-year-old German Manuel Neuer and is interested in Chelsea’s Spanish goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga
  • Chelsea has opted to end talks with Juventus on a trade involving the 23-year-old Serbian forward Dusan Vlahovic and the 30-year-old Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku
  • David Raya, a 27-year-old goalkeeper for Brentford and Spain, is expected to sign a loan agreement with Arsenal with the possibility of purchase next summer.
  • Ligue 1 club Monaco made a £30 million offer for Arsenal’s 22-year-old striker Folarin Balogun, but Arsenal has rejected it. Instead, Arsenal is thinking of trading its 26-year-old Italian midfielder Nicolo Barella to Inter Milan for Balogun and 24-year-old Japanese full-back Takehiro Tomiyasu
  • Dutch left-back Ian Maatsen, 21, of Chelsea, who spent last season with Vincent Kompany’s team when they won the Championship, is vying for a loan deal with West Ham and Burnley. 
  • Alvaro Fernandez, a 20-year-old Spanish full-back who played excellently for Preston last season, is also wanted by Burnley on loan.
  • 33-year-old English defender Aaron Cresswell of West Ham is anticipated to be signed by Wolves before the transfer window ends. 
  • Italian champions Napoli are interested in Brighton’s Julio Enciso, a 19-year-old striker from Paraguay. 
  • Max Aarons, a 23-year-old English right-side defender for Norwich City, is expected to be grabbed up by Bournemouth from Leeds United. 
  • The Italian winger Wilfried Gnonto, 19, asked to be taken out of Leeds’ starting lineup for their Carabao Cup match against Shrewsbury Town on Wednesday because he is looking for a change in clubs. 
  • Deivid Washington, an 18-year-old attacker from Brazil’s move to Chelsea is almost complete, with the Blues paying Santos £13.8 million plus £3.4 million in add-ons.
