In preparation for tonight’s second leg of their Europa League quarterfinal matchup against Sevilla, Marcus Rashford and Luke Shaw have also travelled to Spain with the Manchester United team.
Due to their respective injuries, it was uncertain if the two England internationals would be able to play in the match, which is evenly set at 2-2 following last week’s stalemate at Old Trafford.
Rashford and Shaw have missed two and three matches, respectively, but United can now rely on two of their most important players ahead of a vital stretch of games, starting with Sunday’s FA Cup semifinal against Brighton at Wembley.
Another confidence boost for manager Erik ten Hag is the return of Marcel Sabitzer and Tyrell Malacia to the team.Christian Eriksen played in Sabitzer’s position when he pulled up in the warm-up before Sunday’s 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest due to a groin injury.
Malacia, however, suffered a knock in the second leg against Sevilla but had been cleared to go with the team. Yesterday, all four players trained alongside the rest of the team.
