  • Brentford and Arsenal have reached an agreement for Arsenal to acquire their 27-year-old, £40 million-rated Spain goalkeeper David Raya.
  • Before playing Arsenal in the Community Shield on Sunday, Manchester City wants to sign 21-year-old Croatian defender Josko Gvardiol from RB Leipzig.
  • As a replacement for Riyad Mahrez, Manchester City is interested in Jeremy Doku, a 21-year-old Belgian winger for Rennes.
  • Michael Olise, a 21-year-old forward for Crystal Palace, is viewed as another potential replacement for Mahrez by Manchester City. It will be challenging to keep the France Under-21 international this summer, according to Palace manager Roy Hodgson.
  • Tottenham has rejected Bayern Munich’s £85 million offer for England striker Harry Kane, 30, saying they want more than £100 million. With manager Thomas Tuchel preparing for the new season with him in the lineup, Bayern are confident in reaching an agreement on a £90 million deal for Tottenham’s Kane. If a deal with Bayern is not reached before Tottenham’s Premier League opener against Brentford, Kane anticipates remaining at Tottenham for the remainder of the year.
  • Rasmus Hojlund, a 20-year-old Danish forward for Atalanta, has arrived in England ahead of his £72 million transfer to Manchester United.
  • Chelsea has added American midfielders Tyler Adams of Leeds United and Edson Alvarez of Ajax to their list of transfer targets.
  • After having a second offer for 19-year-old Belgian midfielder Romeo Lavia rejected by Southampton, Liverpool is considering a deal for Fluminense’s Brazilian midfielder Andre, who is 22.
  • Due to Southampton’s demand for £50 million for Lavia, Liverpool is looking at midfielders Ryan Gravenberch, 21, of the Netherlands from Bayern Munich, and Kalvin Phillips, 27, from Manchester City.
  • After returning on a temporary basis this summer, Northern Ireland defender Jonny Evans, 35, is expected to be given a one-year contract by Manchester United.
  • For the 22-year-old Welsh forward Brennan Johnson, who has drawn interest from Tottenham, Brentford, and Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest will consider bids over £40 million.
  • After their initial £22 million bid for 19-year-old English midfielder Alex Scott was turned down, Bournemouth and Bristol City have resumed negotiations.
  • Portuguese midfielder Bernardo Silva, 28, of Manchester City, wants to join Barcelona, but a transfer to the La Liga champions is unlikely given their financial situation.
  • To sign the 26-year-old France winger Ousmane Dembele from Barcelona, Paris St. Germain has added a 50 million euro (£43 million) release clause.
  • Because West Ham is unwilling to pay Southampton’s asking price, they have withdrawn their pursuit of 28-year-old England midfielder James Ward-Prowse. With a bid that is closer to Southampton’s £40 million estimate, West Ham is anticipated to reach an agreement for Ward-Prowse.
  • West Ham’s £14 million pursuit of Manchester City’s 19-year-old Portuguese winger Carlos Borges has been taken over by Ajax.
  • Borges from Man City is on the verge of signing a 20 million euro (£17 million) deal to join Ajax.
  • After Michail Antonio, a 33-year-old Jamaican striker for West Ham, was unable to complete a transfer to Saudi Arabia, and now Everton may make a move for him.
  • Tanguy Ndombele, a 26-year-old France midfielder currently playing for Tottenham, is expected to cost Galatasaray £11 million.
  • Brandon Williams, a 22-year-old English defender for Manchester United, may join Leeds.
