5Times has compiled a list of all the 2023–24 season’s completed Barcelona transfers so far.

Barcelona, the current La Liga champions, had a strong campaign under Xavi last season, and he will be hoping that their strong results in 2022–23 would increase their chances of attracting some top players before the start of the next season.

The player who had most recently been linked with a return to Camp Nou after two years at PSG was Lionel Messi, but the Argentine decided to go move over to the United States and join the MLS. Sergio Busquets’ departure will also create a significant gap in Xavi’s midfield, with Martin Zubimendi and Ruben Neves said to be their top targets.

It will be intriguing to see whether Barca can find a way to recruit the players they want with the little funds at their disposal given that Bernardo Silva and Ilkay Gundogan of Manchester City are both connected with a move to the club, as they are both nowhere near a cheap option for the Spanish giants.

In terms of defence, Jordi Alba left Camp Nou, joining Gerard Pique who had previously left in the middle of the 2022–23 season, implying that Barca will also likely add more defensive players to the roster.
