Paddington easily won the Qatar Sussex Stakes on day two of Glorious Goodwood to mark six victories in a row this year.
In addition to the Sussex Stakes, O’Brien’s winner also took home the Irish 2000 Guinness, St. James’s Palace, Coral-Eclipse, and other victories.
As the three-year-old led from the front, Aidan O’Brien’s 4/9 favourite made light of difficult circumstances.
Despite an early fight from Frankie Dettori’s Inspiral, Facteur Cheval came in second. With a length and a half-advantage, Paddington won the race, earning jockey Ryan Moore’s description of the horse as “unique.”
As of right now, Paddington may compete in the Juddmonte International in York later this month.
