Anthony Joshua, the former two-time unified Heavyweight Champion of the World (24-3, 22 KOs), fights at The O2 in London for the first time since 2016. This is his first fight with Derrick James as his new head trainer. “AJ” goes back to the place where he beat Charles Martin to win his first World Title to face another American boxer, Jermaine Franklin (21-1, 14 KOs).

The “989 Assassin” from Saginaw fought Dillian Whyte to a close points loss at Wembley’s OVO Arena last November, and he is looking forward to his chance to fight one of the biggest names in the sport. After losing to pound-for-pound great Oleksandr Usyk in London and Saudi Arabia, British superstar Anthony Joshua is ready to start climbing back to the top of the Heavyweight division.

This fight will be the first in Joshua’s new five-year deal with DAZN to be streamed live, exclusively, and around the world on the digital sports entertainment platform, which is quickly becoming the undisputed Global Home of Boxing. Joshua vs. Franklin will be included in the £9.99 per month DAZN saver subscription. This is the first fight Joshua fans haven’t had to pay an extra pay-per-view fee to see in over eight years.

DAZN is available in more than 200 places besides the UK. DAZN makes it easy to get the app on Smart TVs, game consoles, tablets, and phones, and it only takes one click to sign up. This will make this Joshua fight the most accessible one ever.

Along with Joshua vs. Franklin, Matchroom and DAZN have announced their biggest schedule of content ever for the first half of 2023. This includes five other premium fights and even more well-known and up-and-coming boxers, as well as an ever-growing list of other sports entertainment.
